Terms
Terms for Booking & Performance of Transport
The terms below apply to the booking, planning and performance of transport via Kronan Fraktförmedling.
Last updated: 2026-07-06
Booking
A booking becomes binding upon confirmation. In the event of cancellation after confirmation, costs may arise as planning, coordination and reservation of transport capacity may already have commenced.
Any refund is made after offsetting for work performed, reserved transport capacity and costs incurred based on the status of the assignment.
Payment
Planning and reservation of transport capacity commences once payment has been registered. Planning and coordination are based on the details provided at the time of booking.
Customer information
The assignment is planned based on the information provided by the customer at the time of booking - for example addresses, type of goods, weight, vehicle type, accessibility and desired schedule.
If the conditions of the assignment change after booking - for example collection address, delivery address, volume of goods, weight, accessibility, the condition of the vehicle or desired schedule - the price, transport arrangement and timeframe may need to be adjusted.
If incorrect or incomplete information is provided and this affects the execution of the assignment, the customer is responsible for any additional costs or delays that arise as a result.
Performance
The transport is carried out in accordance with applicable industry practice and the transport terms applied by the performing carrier.
Collection and delivery require that the location is accessible and suitable for the vehicle in question. If the agreed location needs to be changed and this results in additional costs for the carrier, such costs may be passed on.
If the customer, the recipient or the designated contact person cannot be reached at the agreed time of collection or delivery, and this results in waiting time, additional driving or other extra costs, we reserve the right to charge such costs.
The customer is responsible for ensuring that goods, vehicles and other objects are ready for transport in accordance with the agreement. If the transport cannot be carried out because the object is not transport-ready, keys are missing, access cannot be provided or other agreed conditions are not met, any costs incurred may be charged.
The customer is responsible for disclosing any goods requiring special handling or subject to specific regulations or permits. If such information was not provided before booking, the customer is responsible for any additional costs or consequences this may cause.
Personal belongings or other loose items transported together with a vehicle are only covered if this has been expressly agreed. The customer is responsible for ensuring that such contents are correctly declared and secured before transport.
Any expenses not known or agreed at the time of booking - for example unforeseeable customs charges, area fees, parking, waiting time, special handling or other measures required to carry out the assignment - we reserve the right to invoice afterwards.
For documentation and quality assurance purposes, photographs or video may be taken before, during and after the transport. This documentation may be used as a basis for planning, follow-up and any claims handling.
Cancellation
If an assignment is wholly or partly discontinued due to circumstances attributable to the customer's conduct, or to a third party for whom the customer is responsible, Kronan Fraktförmedling is entitled to compensation for:
- work already performed
- planning, administration and coordination already carried out
- reserved or used transport capacity
- costs incurred towards the performing carrier or other party
Repayment of any remaining amount will only be made after such offsetting and based on a reasonableness assessment, taking into account the status of the assignment and the costs incurred.
Compensation under this clause does not constitute a penalty or punitive fee, but refers to reasonable compensation for work actually performed and costs incurred.
Communication
To minimise the risk of misunderstandings and ensure correct documentation, we recommend that information affecting the assignment is provided in writing via email or another agreed means of communication.
In the event of any discrepancy between verbal and written information, planning will be based on the most recently confirmed written details, unless otherwise demonstrated.
Coordination & follow-up
Kronan Fraktförmedling is an independent party that coordinates the transport between the customer and the performing carrier. The transport itself is carried out by our partners in accordance with applicable legislation and applicable terms.
Our role is to coordinate, document and assist the customer throughout the entire process.
Kronan Fraktförmedling is not responsible for the performing carrier's actual performance, decisions or actions.
However, within the scope of our coordination assignment, we undertake to actively follow up the transport, maintain dialogue with the parties involved, document events and take reasonable measures to move the process forward and minimise deviations.
This does not, however, mean that Kronan Fraktförmedling assumes the carrier's liability under law or agreement.
In the event of damage, deviation or any other incident requiring extended handling, Kronan Fraktförmedling may carry out work beyond the scope of the original coordination assignment.
This may include: - collecting and compiling documentation - recording the sequence of events - dialogue with the carrier, insurer and other relevant parties - ongoing follow-up and administrative case management
If such handling is not covered by the original assignment or reimbursed by the carrier, insurer or other responsible party, Kronan Fraktförmedling reserves the right to charge a reasonable fee for work actually carried out.
Conduct & cooperation conditions
The assignment requires fair, respectful and professional cooperation between all parties involved.
The customer is responsible for ensuring that recipients, agents, partners, employees and other third parties involved in the assignment act in a manner that enables the transport to be carried out safely, correctly and appropriately.
In the event of threats, harassment, abusive language, improper conduct or other behaviour that seriously impedes or makes it impossible to carry out the assignment, Kronan Fraktförmedling reserves the right - following an overall and documented assessment - to discontinue an ongoing assignment or refuse to continue performing it.
Such discontinuation shall be deemed attributable to the customer, even if the behaviour was exhibited by a third party for whom the customer is responsible.
Claims
In the event of damage, loss or any other deviation, a claim should be submitted as soon as possible after the incident has been discovered.
To enable efficient handling, we recommend that the claim includes:
- booking reference or other identifying information
- description of the incident
- photographs or video
- the date on which the deviation was discovered
- any other relevant documentation
Where practically possible, the goods should not be repaired, moved or altered until the necessary documentation has been obtained.
Kronan Fraktförmedling will then coordinate the case, document the sequence of events and maintain dialogue with relevant parties within the scope of our coordination assignment.
Limitation of liability
Kronan Fraktförmedling's liability is limited to direct damage that can be attributed to our own negligence in coordinating the assignment.
We are not liable for indirect damage, consequential damage, loss of profit, production loss or other financial losses, regardless of whether such claims are made by the customer or a third party.
Liability for damage, loss or delay arising during the transport itself is governed by the performing carrier's terms and applicable legislation.
Force majeure
Kronan Fraktförmedling is not responsible for delays, interruptions or failure to perform an assignment caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, such as but not limited to extreme weather conditions, accidents, actions by public authorities, strikes, blockades, war, pandemic, natural disaster or other similar events.
In the event of force majeure, the parties shall inform each other as soon as possible. The assignment may then be postponed or discontinued without any right to damages.
